Protecting the brain one drop at a time
BrainSpace is modernizing neurocritical care and cerebrospinal fluid management by automating treatment & generating novel data
Automated, personalized care
Protecting the brain after injury, stroke or surgery, starts with managing pressure and draining cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
BrainSpace has developed an automated CSF manager that offers single-drop drainage control, while preserving the gravity-based approach neurosurgeons trust. By combining precision drainage and continuous ICP monitoring in the same solution, BrainSpace replaces both devices and gives ICU doctors and nurses the ability to optimize care for each patient like never before: welcome to the end of compromise.
Improves Patient Mobility
No need for leveling or zeroing with the BrainSpace wearable. Adjust head of bed, or even start physical therapy with the EVD or lumbar drain in place.
Automates Nurse Workload
Precision closed-loop controls reduce nursing effort, complexity and stress. Select volume or pressure target, set alarms, and the BrainSpace console does the rest.
Generates AI-ready Data
The BrainSpace system collects, integrates and labels multi-modal data at the source, saving researcher time, unlocking new clinical studies and facilitating more equitable participation.
Brain Damage is far too common today.
There are many sources of dangerous brain pressure: from brain bleeds at birth, to chronic disease like hydrocephalus, to TBI and even strokes and dementia. In each case, the urgent treatment is to protect the brain by managing brain pressure (ICP). Removing small volumes of CSF for a few days is often the least invasive option. Existing string-level options used in top hospitals today are high risk, labor intensive and missing key data.
